Enthronement Centre inaugurated at Bibiani

Most Rev. Joseph Francis Essien, Bishop of Wiawso, has inaugurated a new Diocesan Sacred Heart Enthronement Centre at the St. Theresa’s Parish, at Bibiani.

He was assisted by Very Rev. Fr. Simon Asamoah, Vicar General, Rev. Fr. Isaac Emmanuel Maunger, National Spiritual Director and the Parish Priest of St. Francis Xavier Parish, Kotobabi, Accra.

Others were Rev. Fr. Henry Ussher, Parish Priest of Adabokrom Blessed Virgin Mary and Rev. Fr. Francis Mensah, Assistant Parish Priest of St. Theresa’s Parish at Yawmatwa.
In a homily, Bishop Essien, said that with the enthronement, there should be a significant change in the attitude and commitment of the people.

He paid tribute to the officers of the Ghana National Sacred Heart Enthronement Centre, especially its President, Mrs. Cecilia Kwofie, for their commitment and devotion to work and their untiring efforts to promote devotions to the Sacred Heart.

Fr. Maunger asked the devotees to use the Lenten period to intensify their prayers, fast, and do charity, adding that as “devotees,” others should see the love of Christ in them.

Mrs. Kwofie implored Catholics to assist their wives to instill prayerful life in their children.
The New Officers for the Centre are Mr. Obeng, President; Mr. Albert Govele, Vice President; Mr. Philip Ankaman, Secretary; Mr. J.W. Affum, Assistant Secretary; Sister Agnes Boatemaa Amoah; Mr. Stephen Gyan and Mr. Michael Appiah-Fiakye, members of the Executive Committee.

Present were Mr. Peter Yamoah, National Vice President; Joe Atsuvi, Deputy National Secretary; Mr. Lawrence Sackitey, National Treasurer; Mr. Augustine Antwi-Donkor, National Promoter and Mr. Anthony Amanquandoh, Deputy National Promoter, all of the National Sacred Heart Enthronement Centre.
