The Northern Regional Minister, Alhaji Mustapha Iddris, has paid a courtesy call on His Eminence Peter Cardinal Porekuu Dery at his residence in Tamale.
The Minister thanked God for the Cardinal’s life and appealed to him to prompt him always to execute his work.
He described the Cardinal as a living legend.
“I see your development activities not only in the religious field but all over the areas including education, social and of course the Church,” he said.
He said God has time for everything He does and “your life is very dear to some of us who are your grandsons because we wish to tap your rich experience to do our work.”
Cardinal Dery on his part, said the youth have the great potentials which could be put to good use.
The Cardinal was sad that the honour he received recently came at a time he was too weak to carry out God’s work, “nonetheless, God is wonderful and can still use me.”
He thanked the Minister and his entourage and wished him well in his new office.
